On October 23, 1956, while enrolled in the New England School of Art in Boston,
Bob was a front seat passenger in a 1940 Pontiac which was involved in an accident
with an 18-wheeler in Watertown, Massachusetts (above).
In the photo of the Pontiac below, you can see where Bob's head
made a hole in the windshield. Bob is convinced that only by the grace of God
did he and friend Bob Arnold, the driver, survive.
