The font color specified in the code is black (#000000). This is for a white or light background. If your background is a dark color, please change the font color to white (#ffffff).
There's no catch to this offer, but there are some rules...
You have to send a message letting Bob West know that you plan to run THEOPHILUS cartoons. Bob reserves the right to revoke permission to run the cartoons.
The only other requirement is that you must use the code provided above. This assures that THEOPHILUS will have a consistent look wherever the cartoons are shown. This code will always display the latest episode with a return link to our home page. And the cartoon will be updated on your site automatically each week, usually on Friday.
Copyrights and restrictions...
Bob West retains all copyrights, rights, title and interest of every kind and nature in any and all data, information, cartoons and artwork that are downloaded or otherwise transferred, either mechanically or electronically, from this site or from any other source of this data or information pertaining to Bob West's art or cartoons.
You are hereby granted the limited right to retrieve data posted as THEOPHILUS cartoons, provided that said data IS NOT copied mechanically, electronically or by any other means to any permanent or semi-permanent location, document, or any other data storage facility. (In other words, you can't copy it to a disk, a hard disk, etc., nor can you print copies, etc. If you need to copy it to disk just to run it on your site, write to Bob and that should be fine.)
Your limited right to retrieve this data DOES NOT include any right to market, sell, promote, license, or otherwise profit from the data. Further, you are prohibited from representing or warranting to any party or person that you have any rights in THEOPHILUS or that you have any rights to any specific data retrieved from http://www.theophilus.org other than those rights I just described.
Ready?
Good. Then copy and paste the code into your page. When you're finished, let Bob know the URL.
What if you want to print the cartoons on paper?
For the cost of a CD get high-resolution versions of the Theophilus comic strips with license to use them in your print publications and presentations. Go here for more information.
Here's this week's THEOPHILUS cartoon -- see how well the code works?
